Someone burdened with grief stands before you today... I am not standing here today as a public speaker, but as a Kashmiri sister and daughter who has witnessed with her own eyes the brave heroes of her state soaked in blood, seen their chests pierced through, and watched them drink the cup of martyrdom. My people, my heart is as wounded as yours, my eyes are filled with tears, yet a ray of hope remains intact.
Hope for identity
This hope is for our identity, this hope is for our true recognition, and for the victory of our ideology. Kashmiris will never compromise on this. The grace with which one walked to the place of execution remains forever legendary; the grace with which one walked to the place of execution remains forever legendary; this life was meant to come and go anyway, so losing it does not matter.
Kashmiris can die, they can be torn apart, they can sacrifice themselves for the honor of their homeland, but they can never bow down.
And the final point I want to convey to the Rangers is this: Kashmir is not merely defined by rivers, lakes, and waterfalls, or by snow-capped peaks, but it has always been defined by courage, valor, bravery, honor, and steadfastness. Kashmiris can die, they can be torn apart, they can sacrifice themselves for the honor of their homeland, but they can never bow down. If you think that with a rain of iron, with gunpowder and explosives, or with bullets you can force them to bend, go ahead and indulge your desire.
Concluding with poetic verses
I will conclude my speech with a few poetic verses. Come and visit my city of gardens just once, where flowers bloom where cries of blood once resounded. See how life turns green even from the waves of the storm, look into the hearts of those who burn in the fire. Come and visit my city of gardens just once.
Those who stood for truth have been deemed traitors, and those who were truthful have been branded as deceitful. Raise your eyes and look at this pure land. Come and visit my city of gardens just once. Thank you!
